Windows Mobile 6

OMFG, this PocketPC OS is FREAKIN AWESOME!.

My first noticeable improvement over 5: the UI is cleaner, it’s more contrasting, and it’s beautiful.

Along with beauty of the UI, I went to phone mode: I proceeded to dial the longest number off the top of my head: 1-800-to-wells (wells fargo) and was in shock and awe to find that the buttons were not only easier to press, but they were immediately responsive (instead of pausing, then only playing half of the tones when I dial fast) I then punched in random numbers rapidly to see if I could bog it down. Nothing, it was magnificent in it’s ability to finally function as a phone.

Programs: the kitchen version of WM6 I upgraded to came with a whole slew of excellent programs. The best part about it: OMG, I have free memory?!?! where did that come from?

That’s right, this install was cleaner, slimmer, and wayyyyy more powerful on my HTC Apache.

Microsoft, I love you (sometimes… get your shit together on Halo or get out of the games, damnit… You’re supposed to love the PC gamers, not the fratbox/doorstop ones. We’re the real geeks!)

I give WM6 a 12/10 cause it is just that awesome (when you’ve dealt with all the features of WM5 for long enough, you begin to know just where you’re values lie in these OSes, and WM6 exceeds all expectations)
