Job update

OK, so, here’s the latest scoop for everyone:

I’m in week 7 of the 25S training. I’m gonna be learning how to do the same stuff I learned in 25F common core for the next 3 weeks. wooo. phone calls…. so much fun. =P

I called up Signal Branch to request a first (rather 3rd) duty assignment. the options are: Kuwait (Voluntary, Strategic, Unaccompanied, and hazard pay [lite]), Korea (Assignment incentive pay, Separation pay). wow, that sucks. BUT, if I get them to fix my info and register in my EDAS that I’m Airborne Qualified, then I can add Ft. Cambell, KY and Ft. Bragg, NC to the list.

Gee whiz, is there really any second guessing that? I totally miss Bragg and everything about it. However, if I go to Korea, it’ll give me that emotional break and I can earn up to $300/mo more just from the assignment incentive pay. (if I shoot for 3 years there, even more) and then I can probably ask for an assignment from there (Okinawa, baby!… 1C! Space Shuttle Door Gunner!) Besides, I can take leave and go to Tokyo or something, I’ve heard nothing but good stories from my parents about Asia.

Oh the choices!

And the trooper doesn’t have Power Steering anymore. I had to disable it because the pump mount’s bolts ALL broke off. The A/C compressor’s bolts are starting to go, as well. I’m thinking it’s time for a new Engine. (well used… and I want a 3.4L, not another dinky 2.8L. I’m sure that I can get a very fuel efficient 3.4L that will match up. Hell, the 3800 series gets WAY better gas mileage than my 2.8L. That’s a full Litre bigger!

The hunt begins.
